Saturday Slate

4-1 last night. Not too bad, but could be better. I actually had too much faith in the Bruins and the Rangers scoring, but nevertheless the under hit and Boston held on to win 1-0. That game was awesome to watch. 3 phenomenal fights and an all around physical game. Utah blew the breaks off of Milwaukee, the game was never really close. St. Louis finally got a win against Arizona after losing 3 straight to them. Memphis got off to a hot start against the Lakers, but couldn't hold on to the cover. Lots of action to bet on today so let's get to it.

Ottawa Senators (+200, O/U 6.5) @ Winnipeg Jets

Ottawa is terrible sitting at 2-12-1. Winnipeg shut them down last game winning 5-1. Ottawa didn't look like they belonged on the ice. I'm expecting more of the same here.

Pick: Winnipeg -1.5

Montreal Canadiens (+1.5, O/U 6.5) @ Toronto Maple Leafs

Montreal is sputtering right now. The offense hasn't scored more than 2 goals in their last 4 games and they've lost 3 of 4. They even lost one of those to Ottawa. Toronto is rolling right now. Winners of 8 of their last 9 and 11-2-1 on the year. I expect Toronto to keep rolling right along here.

Pick: Toronto moneyline

Carolina Hurricanes (-132, O/U 5.5) @ Dallas Stars

Both offenses are getting into a grove right now and they scored 8 goals combined in their game Thursday night. I look for them to repeat this effort.

Pick: Over 5.5

Philadelphia 76ers (-116, O/U 226) @ Phoenix Suns

I never know what to do for Sixers games. Or Flyers games. Betting on Philly teams in general is the most frustrating thing in the world. The are so damn inconsistent and they all have two different teams that can show up on any given night. They can come in and blow the roof off the building, or they will look like the worst team in the league. I guess the word I'm looking for is bipolar. That being said give me the Sixers in this one cause they haven't lost back-to-back games at any point this season except for an early 3 game losing streak at the beginning of the year.

Pick: Sixers -116

Brooklyn Nets (-4, O/U TBA) @ Golden State Warriors

KD is back for this one and will be looking to give it to his former team. That is my sole reason for riding with Brooklyn in this game.

Pick: Nets -4

Miami Heat (+4, O/U TBA) @ Utah Jazz

Sticking to my logic from yesterday. Betting the Jazz until they lose. Miami isn't playing great right now and I don't believe they have the firepower on offense to keep up with the Jazz. The only way Miami covers this game is if Utah is playing tired due to this being the second of a back-to-back.

Pick: Utah -4

Underdog of the night

Not in love with any underdogs again tonight so no pick here.

Overall: 22-14-0
